AmeriCorps members help Cooking Matters partners across the U.S. as they empower families on tight budgets to prepare healthy and affordable meals.

In Cooking Matters, AmeriCorps members play a significant role in reaching the families we serve, contributing to approximately 20% of participants reached through our course partners as well as helping to leverage thousands of additional volunteers.

AmeriCorps members dedicate a year of their lives to our nation's largest service program. The AmeriCorps network of local, state, and national service programs engages more than 80,000 Americans in projects around the nation each year. AmeriCorps State and National is the broadest network of AmeriCorps programs. These groups recruit, train, and place AmeriCorps members to meet critical community needs in education, public safety, health, and the environment.
